Finding a home for social workers wanting to enter public office
Our mission at CAFESW, a 501(c)(3) private nonprofit corporation, is to offer a resource for Social Workers who want to enter public office. Our instructors are Social Workers in elected office or recently held elected office, who are dedicated to the idea that Social Workers make some of the best-elected officials because they can analyze policy, are used to provide direct services to vulnerable populations, and have a strong code of ethics.
Every night of the 12-week instruction is taught by a different social worker currently or recently in elected office (see course overview). Students get a chance to learn from a diverse group of Instructors. Classes are taught via Zoom on Wednesdays from 5 pm to 7 pm PST.
We aim to provide the tools and information to Social Workers who want to provide public service in various electable positions. If you have any questions or are interested in enrolling in our Online Class, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.
